Explore SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium
A trip to Auckland isn’t complete without a visit to SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium, otherwise known as Kelly Tarlton’s.
An underwater wonderland with over 30 different kinds of live animal exhibits, habitat displays, and incredible underwater viewing tunnels, this aquarium is every child’s (and not-so-small child’s) dream come true.
From sharks, to turtles, to stingrays, to jellyfish and penguins, Kelly Tarlton’s is any animal-lover’s haven and is a must-visit on any trip to Auckland.
Creature Feeds & Talks
Have you ever wanted to find out why sharks are misunderstood, or what exactly turtles eat? With daily talks in different parts of the aquarium, you can catch a glimpse of the animals up close, watch them be fed, and learn about the conservation efforts being done to protect them.
Choose to visit a Fish Gallery Feed, a Rock Pool Discovery, a Tunnel Talk, a Turtle Talk, or a Penguin Talk.
View the timetable for each of these talks before you go here.
With a variety of exhibits to explore in this marine wonderland, you can get up close and personal with the animals while learning more about their natural habitat.
Explore and interact with tales of life on the coldest place on earth at Scott’s Hut in Antarctica, learn about the rehabilitation and turtle rescue centre at Kelly Tarlton’s, explore the NIWA Southern Ocean Discovery Zone and learn about the creatures of the Pacific, or have fun at Shipwreck shores, and awesome indoor playground for the kids.
